Software Development

We are New Zealand based software developers, specializing in database driven Web-sites and browser based applications.  Our primary development platform is Python, using various SQL back-ends.  We still have substantial experience in the legacy application environments of Microsoft Visual FoxPro (VFP) and Delphi, and are able to assist with small maintenance tasks and converting old applications into a modern environment.

Python Development

We have reasonable abilities writing browser based applications and data driven websites using Python.  Python frameworks we currently use are:

• FastAPI
• Waitress (Production WSGI server)
• Flask
• Django

We also have some capabilities writing software for IoT ('Internet of Things') and ONVIF applications, in partnership with firms that specialize more on the hardware / fabrication aspects.

SQL Back Ends

We can handle any of the following back-ends:

• PostgreSQL
• Microsoft SQL Server
• MySQL  (Not recommended for new applications, as MySQL is quite slow compared with PostgreSQL and SQL Server.)
• SQLite - for small stand-alone applications running on a single device (or infrequently from a number of devices)

General Web / Browser Development

For browser based applications and web sites, we have reasonable abilities with:

• HTML5
• CSS
• Basic working knowledge (i.e. not specialist skills) in Java Script, JQuery, and Angular JS

Maintenance of Legacy Software

We still have residual expertise, to assist with maintenance of legacy software written in:

• Microsoft Visual FoxPro (VFP)
• Delphi
